TCU scores the four-set victory on Wednesday night in Morgantown.

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – A first set loss did not derail the TCU volleyball team as they bounced back to score the 3-1 (20-25, 25-16, 25-18, 25-21) victory on Wednesday night at the WVU Coliseum in Morgantown, W. Va.

After dropping the opener, the Horned Frogs (14-11, 6-8 Big 12) would jump out to early leads in each of the remaining sets and used a strong offensive presence to take back control of the match against the Mountaineers (11-16, 2-11 Big 12). TCU hit above .300 in two of the three remaining sets and were able to serve up four aces to seal the victory in four sets.

élan McCall was nearly unstoppable with 22 kills and only one error on 36 swings for a career-high .583 hitting clip to go along with 14 digs. Lexi MacLean put down 10 kills in the match and 11 digs for her first double-double of the season. Berklie Baker led the defensive effort from the back row with 18 digs while Katie Clark led the defense at the net with six blocks.

.583 – élan McCall was almost perfect on the day offensively with a .583 hitting clip which marked a career-high for the freshman and the second time hitting above .500 this season.
