
Frogs Set for Australia Tour

The Horned Frogs will play four games during their tour, with three coming as part of doubleheaders with the TCU men's team. TCU is the only university in the nation taking a women's and men's basketball joint tour this summer.
After arriving in Sydney on Monday, Aug. 7, the Frogs will play their first game on Aug. 8 against the Hornsby Spiders at 6 p.m. AES/3 a.m. CST at Kevin Betts Stadium in Mount Druitt, a Sydney suburb.
After a complete day exploring Sydney, the Frogs will return to the court on Aug. 10. TCU will take on the Australian Institute of Sport's Centre of Excellence (COE) at 6 p.m. AES/3 a.m. CST at the Minto Indoor Sport Centre.
The Frogs will then travel to Melbourne on Aug. 11, and remain in the Victoria capital for the remainder of their trip. TCU will visit Dromana, the hometown of current Frog Ella Hellessey, on Aug. 12.
TCU will get back into action on Aug. 13 when it takes on the NITP All-Stars at 2:30 p.m. AES/11:30 p.m. CST at the Marcellin College Gym. That will be the only game for the TCU women that is not part of a doubleheader with the TCU men.
After a community service event and a day exploring Melbourne, TCU will play for the final time on Aug. 15. The Frogs will take on the Knox Raiders at 6 p.m. AES/3 a.m. CST at the State Basketball Centre.
TCU will return home to Fort Worth on Wednesday, Aug. 16.

Hornsby Spiders -- Aug. 8 -- 6 p.m. AES/3 a.m. CST -- Kevin Betts Stadium
- The Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gai Basketball Association is a comprehensive basketball association in the Sydney metro area. The Hornsby Spiders are a select group of players that represent the association in the Molten Waratah League. The Spiders' senior women's team just finished its season with a 14-2 record and will enter playoffs this weekend. The youth team went 10-10 in their season, which was completed last week.
COE -- Aug. 10 -- 6 p.m. AES/3 a.m. CST -- Minto Indoor Sport Centre
- Australian Institute of Sport's Centre of Excellence (COE) is regarded as the top basketball academy in the nation. Lauren Jackson, Penny Taylor, Erin Phillips and Belinda Snell have all been part of the program and gone on to wildly successful careers in the WNBA and with the Australian Opals, the country's national team. A lot of the current COE players just finished sixth at the FIBA U19 World Cup last week as .
NITP All-Stars -- Aug. 13 -- 2:30 p.m. AES/11:30 p.m. CST -- Marcellin College Gym
- The BVC National Intensive Training Program (NITP) is a premier U16 and U18 training program in the state of Victoria that Hellessey was a member of. TCU will play against a collection of the program's best players.
Knox Raiders -- Aug. 15 -- 6 p.m. AES/3 a.m. CST -- State Basketball Centre
- Knox Basketball Incorporated is one of the largest basketball associations in Australia. The Knox Raiders are a select group of players that represent the association in some of the nation's premier competition, including the Big V league. Like the Hornsby Spiders, the Raiders recently finished their season with the senior team going 14-6 and the youth team posting a 12-10 record. The Big V is also the home of Hellessey's former club team, the Southern Peninsula Sharks.
