
TCU in 10th at Southern Highlands

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – TCU improved two spots to finish the second round of the Southern Highlands Collegiate in 10th place Tuesday in Las Vegas, Nev.
The Horned Frogs shot an 8-over 296 and are 14-over 590 for the tournament, and leads four ranked teams including No. 2 Florida. TCU trails Big 12 Conference opponent No. 14 Oklahoma by one stroke. No. 7 USC leads the loaded field with a 7-under 569.
With a loaded field, 12 of the 15 ranked in the top 50 nationally, the Horned Frogs lead No. 49 New Mexico, No. 25 Arizona State and No. 22 San Diego State after shooting a 6-over 294. No. 7 USC will begin the second round on Tuesday with the lead at 10-under 278.
Sophomore Pierre Mazier moved up 21 places to 21st to pace the Frogs after shooting a 1-under 71. He is shooting 1-over 145 for the tournament.
Sophomore Turner MacLean and senior Chelso Barrett will begin the final round inside the top 50. Maclean is in 36th place with a 5-over 149, while Barrett is tied for 42nd place with a 6-over 150.
