TCU Falls in Round 1 by Point to Baylor

WACO, Texas -- The three-seed Frogs fell 10-9 to the one-seed Baylor Bears in a rainy round one of the Big 12 Equestrian Championship in Waco on Friday.
The Rundown
The Frogs started off to a good start but behind, falling 3-2 in Fences and 3-2 in Reining, but made a quick comeback in the second half with a 3-1 decision in Horsemanship and another fall in Flat, 3-2.
On the Hunt Seat side, the Frogs fell 6-4 to the Bears, with seniors Kari Hancock and Molly Peddicord leading the way in Flat winning their points for TCU. In Fences, Jayme Omand and Carley Barnett won their points for the Purple.
On the Western side, the Frogs took Horsemanship with a 3-1 decision, with senior Rylee Morgan and freshmen Laska Anderson and Josie Mootz winning their points. The Purple and White fell 3-2 in Reining, with seniors Rylee Morgan and Brooke Boyle getting their points for the Frogs.
Up Next
The Frogs will go up against the Oklahoma State Cowgirls for the first half of round two today, finishing out tomorrow. The Frogs will finish Flat and Horsemanship today then take the Cowgirls on tomorrow for Reining and Fences.
