
TCU Headed To Bobby Lane Invite At UTA

FORT WORTH, Texas -- After an impressive season opener last week, TCU's throwers will compete at the 37th annual Bobby Lane Invitational hosted by UTA on Friday and Saturday, March 24-25, in Arlington, Texas.
The hammer throw will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, while Saturday's events will begin at 1 p.m. with the pole vault and discus. Live results from Maverick Stadium will be available via DeltaTiming.
Last Time Out
Last week, the Horned Frogs swept nearly all of the throwing events at the TCU Invitational.
Sophomore Fellan McGuigan opened the outdoor season with a winning-mark of 201 feet 11 inches (61.54 meters) in the hammer throw. All of his efforts surpassed the 60-meter mark as he won the event by over 20 feet.
Freshman Ryan Camp produced a first-place mark of 176 feet 6 inches (53.80 meters) in the discus. Camp's distance led the field by more than three feet and moved him to No. 5 on TCU's all-time list.
Junior Paola Miranda threw a distance of 189 feet 2 inches (57.65 meters) on her second attempt in the hammer throw as she also took home first place, winning by more than 23 feet.
Freshman Isaiah Rogers moved to No. 3 on TCU's all-time list in his first outdoor meet as he won the shot put with a mark of 57 feet 5.75 inches (17.57 meters).
Lastly, freshman Kendahl Shue set the pole vault school record last week with a clearance of 12 feet 4 inches (3.76 meters).
