Team Notes
* With its loss, TCU clinched the No. 9 seed in the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championships, which begin on Friday in Oklahoma City.
* TCU is going to play Texas Tech in the tournament's first round on Friday, marking the third straight season that TCU will open the conference tournament against the same team it closed the regular season against.
* After forcing its last two opponents into 22 and 23 turnovers, respectively, TCU forced Texas Tech into 12. The Frogs committed 18 themselves, their most since 20 in a win at Kansas on February 5.
* For just the third time in Big 12 play, TCU failed to make 70.0 percent from the free throw line. The Frogs hit 13-of-20 for 65.0 percent.
* TCU used the same starting lineup for the second straight game (AJ Alix, Toree Thompson, Jada Butts, Kianna Ray, Carol Willie).
Individual Notes
* Jada Butts scored 15 points, her third straight game in double figures and her eighth in the last nine games. She has scored in double figures 17 times this season and 36 times in her career.
* Amy Okonkwo scored 12 points, her 16th double-figure scoring game this season and the 19th of her career.
* Okonkwo also grabbed six rebounds and is now averaging 8.3 boards per game in her last four contests.
* AJ Alix finished with 12 points, her third straight game in double figures and her eighth in the last nine games. She has scored in double figures 20 times this and 42 times in her career.
