FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU (17-9, 6-7) will try for its first win at Iowa State in 36 years when it plays the Cyclones (16-9, 8-5) Saturday at 5 p.m.
The game will be broadcast on ESPNEWS with Jason Benetti (Play-By-Play) and Reid Gettys (Color) calling the action. The game can also be heard on KLIF AM 570, KTCU 88.7 FM, FrogVision or TuneIn Radio.
THE OPPONENT
Iowa State is 16-9 overall and 8-5 in the Big 12 following its 87-79 win at Kansas State on Wednesday. The Cyclones have won three of their last four games, which started with a win at Kansas on Feb. 4 to end the Jayhawks' 51-game winning streak at Allen Fieldhouse. ISU is led by senior guard Monte Morris and his 15.9 points per game, which ranks seventh in the Big 12 Conference. Morris leads the conference with 5.8 assists per game and lead the NCAA with an assist-turnover ratio of 5.8.
THE SERIES
Iowa State leads the all-time series 9-6. The Cyclones lead the series in Ames, 5-1, with the Frogs' lone win coming on Dec. 18, 1982, 74-66. Last season in Ames, TCU lost a high-scoring affair, 92-83. In the first meeting between the two teams this season, TCU won, 84-77, its first win over Iowa State since 1997. Valdimir Brodziansky had 25 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Frogs, who shot 56.9 percent from the field.
AMONG THE MOST IMPROVED
Going from 12-21 last season to 17-9 this season, TCU is the 12th most-improved team among NCAA DI schools.
IT'S MILLER TIME
JD Miller is 13-of-20 from 3-point range in the last five games. The sophomore has made at least one 3-pointer in each of the last seven games after not having any in the previous six contests. The four 3-pointers Miller had in wins at Kansas State and against Texas Tech were career highs. Miller has averaged 13.3 points and 3.8 rebounds in the last six games and scored a team-high 16 points against OSU Wednesday. He is 9-for-13 from 3-point range in the second half of the last five games.
3-POINT SHOOTING UP
TCU has made 10 or more 3-pointers in a game four times this season including a season-high 11 threes against Jacksonville State. In the four seasons prior to this one, TCU had just three games where it hit at least 10 3-pointers. The Frogs had nine-such games during the 2011-12 season.

TCU was at .500 (6-6) in conference play through 12 games for the first time since the 2011-12 season.
