WHAT'S RIGHT WITH INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETICS
Student-athletes like Caylin Moore are why we work in intercollegiate athletics. As you might have seen, Caylin received an incredible honor Thursday when he was named to the 25th-Anniversary Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. This 24-member squad is carefully selected over all divisions of college football and takes into account community service, selfless acts, character, leadership and academic standing.
Caylin hails from inner-city Los Angeles. His father is in prison for life. As a child, his family was homeless. He eventually became a Fulbright Scholar and made his way to Marist University in New York and Princeton, before matriculating to TCU. He has a 3.9 grade-point average while majoring in economics with a double-minor of mathematics and sociology.
Among his myriad of activities in the community, Caylin is the founder and president of S.P.A.R.K., a youth outreach program that also involves several of his teammates, including Aaron Curry and Kenny Hill.
Caylin and the rest of the 2016 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team will be recognized at halftime of this year's Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.
NEW DIGS
We're very excited for our volleyball program as it moved into its new facility adjacent to the Rec Center. In addition to a state-of-the-art locker room, our indoor and beach volleyball student-athletes are having their TCU experience enhanced with a team room and retractable windows that face the outdoor beach volleyball courts.

IN-GAME ENTERTAINMENT
We have another pregame flyover set for Saturday. It will feature a DC-3 Southern Cross flanked by two T-6 Texas Aircrafts.
You might have noticed two new Student Section banners made their debut last weekend at the Arkansas game. The words "RIFF RAM BAH ZOO" and "GIVE `EM HELL TCU" were stretched across the student section in the second quarter. These banners were fully funded by the Student Government Association. We are very thankful to it and all our students here at TCU, who make our student section the best in the Big 12! Gary Patterson, our head football coach, has commented numerous times, including at Thursday's Frog Club lunch, on how much of a home-field advantage our student section provides us.

HORNED FROGS NOSTALGIA

Make sure to check it out!
NAME THE MOVIE QUOTE
Last Edition's Answer: We went to Chevy Chase and 1980s cinematic classic Fletch. During a dream sequence in which Fletch envisioned himself playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, you heard legendary Lakers play-by-play voice Chick Hearn say, "You know this gritty kid from the streets of Harlem really creates excitement. $4 million dollars a year, that's true, but he earns every nickel of it."
This Week's Question: "One time I wrestled a giraffe to the ground with my bare hands."
COMPLIANCE CORNER
Scissor Kick is a soccer student-athlete at Ocean State University (OSU). Scissor's coach realized that she still has room in her scholarship limits after two of her incoming freshmen were declared non-qualifiers. Because Scissor works very hard and has really improved her skills, the coach decided to provide her with a full athletic scholarship during the second week of classes. Can OSU provide Scissor the full amount or does it have to be prorated based on the remaining charges for that term?
The scholarship will have to be prorated. NCAA Bylaw 15.3.1.3 states that institutional financial aid awarded to an enrolled student-athlete after the first day of classes in any term may not exceed the remaining room and board charges and educational expenses for that term and may not be made retroactive to the beginning of that term.
