TCU Announces Scholar-Athletes of the Month

The defending NCAA Indoor champion started the season on a high-note after recording the best season-opening time of his career in the 60-meter dash at 6.61. Since then, Baker has gone on to win three 60-meter dashes this season. Baker currently holds the nation's No. 4 times in both the 60 and 200-meter races at 6.60 and 20.67, respectively.
Baker has garnered national attention and is a Bowerman Watch List selection. The Bowerman is awarded each year to the top male and female collegiate athlete in NCAA track & field.
The indoor track and field team's will return to action on Feb. 13 for the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. .
Medley had a productive start to the new year, averaging over 16 points per game in January. Medley currently ranks fifth in the Big 12 Conference in points per game (14.8) and tops the Big 12 in free throw percentage (.860).
To round out the month of January, the senior All-American candidate moved into second place on the TCU career scoring list after the game against Oklahoma State. Medley was also recognized for her work off the court as she was named one of the candidates for the 2015-16 Senior CLASS Award®. The award is given to seniors who have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.
The women's basketball team hosts Baylor on Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m.
