Team Records, Game Notables and Series Information
• TCU improves to 14-11 on the season with a 6-8 mark in Big 12 Conference play.
• TCU leads the all-time series 5-4.
• TCU is now 2-2 all-time in Allen Fieldhouse against the Jayhawks.
• TCU has won four of the last five games between the teams.
Team Notes
• TCU secured its largest win in a league game since joining the Big 12 Conference in 2012-13, marking the second time this season that TCU has set a new benchmark in the category this year after beating Texas Tech by 21 on Jan. 13, 2016.
• TCU won on the road in the month of February for just the second time since joining the Big 12 Conference as TCU is now 2-13 in February road games since the start of the 2012-13 season.
• TCU now has three road conference wins to its credit in 2015-16, tying the school record for Big 12 Conference road wins in a season.
• TCU is now 4-6 on the road this season with the win, including a 3-4 record in Big 12 Conference play.
• TCU won back-to-back league games for the second time this season and first since winning the first two games of league play against Texas Tech and Kansas State.
• TCU will seek its first three-game winning streak in Big 12 Conference play since a three-game streak last season in early January when it takes the floor on Saturday against Oklahoma State in Fort Worth.
• With its win over Kansas, the Frogs will have a chance to secure a third series sweep of the season on Feb. 29 when TCU hosts Kansas in Fort Worth. A third series sweep of the year would set a new high water mark for TCU since joining the Big 12 Conference. TCU has sweeps of Texas Tech and Iowa State already this season.
• TCU held Kansas without a field goal in the final 7:54 of the third quarter as they missed their final 16 shots of the period and were 3-of-20 in the third quarter.
• Kansas missed 19 consecutive shots during a span of the third and fourth quarter as TCU went on a 24-1 run.
• TCU used the starting lineup of Veja Hamilton, Zahna Medley, Carol Willie, Jada Butts and AJ Alix.
Individual Notes
• Senior Zahna Medley, the reigning Big 12 Conference Player of the Week, had 13 points. Medley now has 1,832 career points as she seeks to surpass Sandora Irvin's 1,892 career points, TCU's career leader.
o Medley had her 91st career double figure scoring game and 20th of the season.
o Medley hit one three-point field goal in the game to move to 294 in her career, two shy of tying Jill Sutton for the TCU career record.
o With her 117th career start, Medley is now in sole possession of third place on the TCU career starts list. Her next start will tie her with Sandora Irvin with 118 career starts for second place on the all-time list. Helena Sverrisdottir is first 127 career starts during her TCU career.
• Sophomore AJ Alix had a game-high 15 points.
o Alix hit at least three three-point field goals in a game for the second time in three games, the ninth time this season and for the 11th time in her career.
o It was Alix's 15th double figure game of the season and 17th of her career.
• Senior Veja Hamilton had 12 points in the game with three rebounds.
o Hamilton had her 12th double figure game of the season and 40th of her career. o Hamilton had three rebounds and needs five more to become the 12th player in TCU history with 500 career rebounds.
• Freshman Claire Ferguson played in her home state of Kansas for the second time this season.
o Ferguson scored her first career field goal with 4:01 left in the game.
Coaching Notes
• In her second year at TCU, head coach Raegan Pebley is now 32-25 as the leader of the Horned Frogs. She is now 188-200 in 13 seasons as a head coach.
• Pebley is now 3-0 against Kansas as the TCU head coach.
