TCU Holds Steady in Round Two

ALPHARETTA, Georgia – The TCU men's golf team shot a 305 on Saturday on the Creekside Course at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate and remained in a tie for 15th place.
Freshman Jeong Weon Ko again led the Frogs as he carded a 2-over 74 in Saturday's second round. Ko is now 1-over-par for the tournament and sits in a tie for 17th place.
The Frogs are nine shots back of UCLA who sits in 14th place and 12 shots back of Clemson who is in 13th place.
Round of the Day
For the second straight day Ko led the Frogs and did so by starting strong. Playing the Creekside Course, Ko birdied the par-5 first hole to get his round underway. The freshman shot an even-par 36 on the front nine but carded two bogies on the back nine to fall back to 2-over 74 for the round.
Other Notables
- The Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate field is one of the nation's toughest with 12 top-25 teams.
- Stefano Mazzoli carded an eagle on the par-5 12th hole.
- Daniel Gurtner posted TCU's second best round of the day as he carded a second straight 76.
