Horned Frogs Open Play in Dallas

DALLAS -- A second-round 71 by Kortnie Maxoutopoulis led TCU as the Horned Frogs are 10th after Friday's opening 36 holes of the SMU Invitational at the Dallas Athletic Club.
The Horned Frogs shot a second-round 302, lowering their score by 10 strokes from the opening 18 holes.
Maxoutopoulis had three straight birdies on the front nine and four overall in posting her 1-under-par 71. She is tied for 17th individually with a 5-over 149. The senior from Pleasanton, Calif., is looking for a third straight top-20 finish.
Alexandra Bonetti was the most consistent Horned Frog, carding a 75 and 76. She had four first-round birdies and a team-best seven on the day. A Paris, France, native, Bonetti is tied for 28th.
Emmy Martin began the second round with three birdies in her opening eight holes. She totaled six birdies on the day.
With a 3-over 579, No. 14 Oklahoma State holds the team lead by seven strokes over No. 24 UC Davis.
Purdue's Aurora Kan is the individual leader with a 3-under 141.
