No. 3 TCU Falls at Kansas State Friday

FINAL RESULTS
MANHATTAN, Kan. - Junior Chantz Stewart and sophomore Kari Hancock both claimed MOP accolades Friday morning, but it wasn't enough as No. 3 TCU fell to Kansas State at Timbercreek Stables, 14-5."We are definitely smarting from today's loss," said TCU Director of Equestrian Haley Schoolfield. "We have some areas where we had uncharacteristic mistakes and some areas where we were outstanding. We will make some adjustments and look forward to a great day tomorrow."
With the loss, the Horned Frogs dropped to 5-3 overall and 2-3 in league play, while K-State improved to 6-7 overall and 2-3 in Big 12 action.
In Western, TCU appeared to be well on its way to claiming an overall victory in the discipline, but dropped a 6-3 decision. Senior Katelyn Gray continued her winning ways in Horsemanship, knocking off Paige Kemper, 75-73.5. With the win, the Colorado native improved to 7-2 on the season. Megan McMullen was the only other Frog to score in the discipline, upending Sydney Anson, 73-72.5, to move to 4-1 in league play this season.
TCU had a rough outing in Reining Friday as Stewart was the lone Frog to score a victory, dropping Nicholle Hatton, 71.5-70. The junior is now 6-0-1 on the season and laid claim to her second MOP of the year.
In Hunt Seat action, Hancock stole the show in Equitation on the Flat, scoring an MOP ride on Cassi with an 85-69 decision over Gretchen Koenen. With the win, the Alaska product now has five MOP's and improved to 7-1-0 overall and 4-1-0 in league play. Nicole Diamantis rounded out the Horned Frog notables, dropping Taylor Schmidt.
TCU will be back in action tomorrow at Oklahoma State, beginning at 10:00 a.m. CT.
