FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU women's basketball program is seeking male basketball players for the 2014-15 season to help take part in practice with the team on a regular basis.

The practice team offers the Horned Frogs a chance to practice against someone other than themselves and helps prepare the squad for the rigors of Big 12 competition. Players will be expected to be competitive, knowledgeable and able to take direction from coaches. They will also be outfitted with TCU Nike gear.
"We utilize the male practice squad to replicate what we will see offensively and defensively from our opponents, as we prepare for games," head coach Raegan Pebley said. "We need these guys to be competitive, skilled and have a great understanding of what it means to be a Horned Frog. If you have a love of basketball and respect being a part of a team, then this is a great experience."
All players must meet NCAA qualifications. It is preferable that athletes have high school basketball experience and availability during practice times for the 2014 fall semester, scheduled for 2:30-5:30 p.m., on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and 2-4 p.m., on Tuesday and Thursday.
For those interested in joining the practice squad, please contact associate head coach Hanna Howard at 817-257-6929 or at hanna.howard@tcu.edu.
