FORT WORTH, Texas - Former TCU women's basketball great Sandora Irvin will begin play with the Atlanta Dream in the WNBA Finals on Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. CT. The series opener against the Minnesota Lynx can be seen live on ESPN.
The Dream will face the Western Conference champion Lynx in a best-of-five-games Finals series. Following game one, each contest will be broadcast live by ESPN2.
Irvin and the Dream reached the WNBA Finals after rallying from the brink of elimination during a three-game series with the Indiana Fever. After dropping the first game of the conference finals, Atlanta won decisively over the Fever at home, which was followed by a 16-point victory in the decisive game three.
The berth marks the second WNBA Finals appearance for Irvin, who is in her first season with the squad and her sixth professional season overall. Irvin was signed by the Dream last March after playing for Chicago during the 2010-11 season.
