TCU Begins Fall Tournament Schedule in Midland

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Four TCU men's tennis players will kick-off the fall tournament schedule Friday at the Racquet Club Invitational in Midland, Texas. The season-opening event runs through Sunday. Seniors Daniel Sanchez and Paul Chappell will be in action, along with freshmen Will Stein and Blake Wiggins.
Sanchez, the No. 8 overall seed in the men's singles draw, comes into his senior year after pacing the Frogs with a 15-6 dual match record last spring. Chappell enters his final season at TCU after posting double-digit win total in doubles in 2011. Stein and Wiggins were both considered four-star recruits by the Tennis Recruiting Network and listed as two of the top-150 graduating high school seniors in the nation.
TCU will battle players from some of the top teams in the country this weekend, as the tournament boasts entries from Boise State, Dartmouth, Pepperdine, Nebraska, Arkansas, SMU, Texas, Tulsa, Maryland, New Mexico, Abilene Christian, Texas A&M, LSU, Texas-Arlington, Rice and Texas Tech.
