
Prince Honored By Mountain West Monday

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU freshman Chelsea Prince was honored on Monday as the Mountain West Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
In TCU's matchup against Houston, Prince had a solid night with 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting in helping the Horned Frogs crush the Cougars on the road, 80-35. She also tallied five rebounds against the NCAA Tournament team from a year ago.
On Sunday, Prince came back and led the TCU attack, scoring a new career-high of 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including eight during the second half. She also had her second-straight five rebound game, while tallying four assists in only 18 minutes of play.
Prince was also recognized Monday as the Mountain West Player of the Week by College Sports Madness, which identifies the highest impact players nationally in a weekly feature on their website.
For the week, Prince averaged 14.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game to go along with four assists, one blocked shot and two steals.
TCU will face defending National Champion Texas A&M on Sunday, Dec. 11. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m. CT and will be shown live on CBS Sports Network.
