TCU Head Coach Jeff Mittie
On overall performance:
"I thought we were really good at times and really poor at times. There was no middle ground for me on this game. We shoot it well but were lackadaisical at times and that allowed them to stay in it."
On offensive productivity:
"I think we shot better. We shot fifty percent today because they pressed us. We either attacked it for an easy one or turned it over. I do think the offense is coming along a little better. They are much more aware of how each one fits in it. We got a few back-door plays that were not called by me. That shows their connecting better with each other.
On how this prepares them for Texas A&M:
"Texas A&M is another level. We faced Georgia on the road who is No. 14 in the country. We know A&M has a great team. We have never played a team that won the National Championship the year before at home, so we are excited about that. Our focus will solely be on getting better this week."
Junior Guard Whitney Williams
On how the way the offense has grown:
"It's getting a little bit easier. We're starting to be able to read each other more and more. We still had a lot of turnovers today and you can still see it's a struggle for us, but it is easier. We're starting to know what each other is going to do a little bit better."
