POSTGAME QUOTES
Air Force 66, TCU 65 (OT)
Fort Worth, Texas (Daniel-Meyer Coliseum)
Jan. 29, 2011
Attendance: 4,969
TCU HEAD COACH Jim Christian
On the outcome of the game:
"We had eight chances to win the game. I was proud that we came back. We were down five with two and a half minutes to go, so that was good to see. This is obviously disappointing. We had that free throw miss with five seconds to go, and that's the only one we missed all night. We played well enough to have a chance to win the game, but you have to make a play at the end to win it."
On team's confidence:
"We fought hard tonight. We wanted to win the game for Dr. (James) Cash. It was all about playing for him tonight, and I think that's the hardest we've played in a while for 40 minutes. I think defensively the first 15 minutes of the game is probably the best we played all year, but we will get better.
"We have to make plays to win games. In any game there will be someone who is going to make the play to win it, and we didn't make those plays. We had opportunities, but we just didn't rebound the point-blank layups and free throws."
