TCU Women Announce Conference, TV Schedules

FORT WORTH—TCU women's basketball announced the details of its 2010-11 Mountain West Conference schedule Monday, in addition to a complete list of tip-off times and television broadcast dates. The Frogs will appear on national television at least 10 times during the upcoming season.
TCU will play twice on CBS College Sports during the upcoming season and eight times on The MountainWest Sports Network (The Mtn.). The two CBS College Sports broadcasts—vs. BYU (Jan. 18 or 19) and at Utah (Jan. 22 or 23)—still have dates and tip-off times to be determined.
Games selected to be broadcast by The Mtn. include: Dec. 22 vs. Georgia (6 p.m.), Jan. 2 vs. Oklahoma (5 p.m.); Jan. 15 vs. Colorado State (Noon); Feb. 5 vs. San Diego State (2 p.m.); Feb. 12 vs. Wyoming (Noon); Feb. 22 vs. Utah (6:30 p.m.); Feb. 26 at New Mexico (3 p.m.); and March 2 vs. Air Force (6:30 p.m.). Each of the home games will be produced by TCU's Film/Television/Digital Media department with an exception of the matchup against the Utes.
Game times for all TCU home games not selected for television have been set with the following parameters: 6:30 p.m. for all games Monday through Friday; Noon for Saturday contests; and 5 p.m. for Sunday matchups.
In addition to the two CBS College Sports telecasts, there is still one other game to have a tip-off time to be announced—Jan. 29 at Air Force.
The Frogs begin the defense of their MWC regular-season title Jan. 5 at San Diego State and close out the regular season at home March 2 vs. Air Force. The squad has one stretch with back-to-back home games and another with back-to-back road contests, both coming against Colorado State (Jan. 15; Feb. 16) and BYU (Jan. 18/19; Feb. 19).
Overall, TCU faces one of its most difficult schedules in recent memory during the upcoming season. Nine games will be against teams that qualified for the 2010 NCAA Tournament [West Virginia, Iowa State, Virginia, Fresno State, Texas A&M, Georgia, Oklahoma and San Diego State (twice)], including five against squads that reached the Sweet 16 [Iowa State, Georgia, Oklahoma and San Diego State (twice)].
