
Tuohimaa, Doubles Team Jump In National Rankings

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU women's tennis team boasts two singles players and a doubles squad in the latest Campbell's/ITA Division I Women's Tennis rankings. The Horned Frogs are now listed at No. 27 as a team.
Junior Katariina Tuohimaa paces the Frogs' in the singles rankings, making her national ranking debut at No. 56. The Helsinki, Finland product earned MWC Women's Tennis Player of the Week honors on Feb 10 after picking up the highest-ranked win of her career for the second time this season, upending No. 16 Mallory Burdette (5-7, 7-6 [4], 10-5) of 14th-ranked Stanford. Sophomore Kayla Duncan also remains in the singles ranking, sitting at No. 78.
In doubles, Duncan and senior Nina Munch-Soegaard make their mark at No. 22 after picking up wins against the No. 25 squad from Vanderbilt and No. 27 team from Texas to open the year. The tandem has played from the top court in the Frogs' first four matches.
