TCU shot over 64.5% from the floor in the first half, which is a seasonal-best mark.
By shooting 60.7 percent from the floor, TCU posted the second-best field goal percentage in a game in program history.
The Horned Frogs moved to 6-5 on the young season and defeated SHSU for the eighth-straight year.
TCU extended its home-winning streak to 27 games, which ranks No. 3 in the NCAA.

Freshman Latricia Lovings saw her first action of the season Sunday, scoring 2 points, while also adding three boards and two blocks.
Emily Carter led TCU in scoring for the seventh-time this season.
By draining seven three's, Carter posted a new career-high, which is also tied for No. 4 all-time in 3-point field goals made in a game in program history.
Carter scored over 20 points for the sixth time this season.
TCU moved to 16-4 the last two seasons's when Carter leads the Horned Frogs in scoring.
Helena Sverrisdottir just missed only her second triple-double of her career Sunday.
Sophomore DeLisa Gross scored in double-figures for the fourth-straight game. Gross tied her career-high with 18 points Sunday.
Sverrisdottir posted her first double double of the season with 18 points and 10 boards.
Freshman Briesha Wynn scored a new career-high 10 points Sunday.
