Opening Statement:
"Defensively, we came out and established the energy we want. It was good to get a lot of the new guys a lot of minutes. I think once they calmed and settled down, they showed that we are going to be able to go to them. Today they did it with great energy and effort, and now we have to get them to where they understand it."
The difference between this team and his previous two TCU squads:
"We have more guys who can make a play, get rebounds and get the ball to the basket. It makes it to where we have easier shots. Offense has been easier for us because of the athleticism. What they did in the first half defensively was probably the best effort we have had since I've been at TCU. That was against a team that will be in the post-season. They have seven guys from last year who won their league and went to the NIT."
On the play of junior guard Ronnie Moss:
"I think what he did tonight was establish our defensive mindset from the first catch right off the start. I think he got us going offensively, and he has to keep playing solid basketball. I think with the group that we have this year, he does not feel the pressure he did in the past."
