- TCU won its fifth straight season opener and for the 10th time in the last 11 years. Overall, the Frogs improved to 63-36 all-time in openers.
- TCU head coach Jim Christian is now 7-2 in season openers in his career.
- Of TCU's 13 players who saw action, eight had never previously reached the floor for the Frogs in a regular-season game.
- TCU shot 55.0 percent from 3-point range (11-of-20), marking the ninth-best single-game performance in program history and the best effort since March 13, 2008 at UNLV (73.9 percent; 17-of-23).
- TCU, which committed only nine turnovers to the Tigers' 18, recorded a 29-3 advantage on points off turnovers.
- TCU's 24 assists marked the team's most since recording 26 in last season's 89-62 victory over St. Gregory's (Okla.) (Dec. 20, 2009).
- Moss recorded his 11th career 20-point performance. He had eight 20-point outings last season as a sophomore and two in 2008-09 as a freshman.
- Amrick Fields scored 18 points, the most by a TCU freshman in a season opener since Jeff Jacobs scored 19 against Drexel on Dec. 3, 1993.
- Hank Thorns set a career high with 10 assists, breaking his previous best of eight set during his sophomore season at Virginia Tech against Miami (Jan. 25, 2009). It marked the most helpers by a Frog since Moss totaled 11 last season vs. UT Pan American (Jan. 20, 2010).
