Frogs Rank No. 2 in National Broadcasts

FORT WORTH--The TCU women's basketball team will play on national television at least 11 times during the upcoming regular season, a figure that ranks tied for second among all NCAA Division I programs.
Ohio State leads all teams nationally with 12 announced regular-season broadcasts. The Horned Frogs and BYU rank tied for second among all Division I programs with 11 telecasts each.
Nine of TCU's games will air on The MountainWest Sports Network (The Mtn.), which is available nationally on DirecTV channel 616, while two other games will air on CBS College Sports, available on DirecTV channel 613 and Dish Network channel 152. One more contest, TCU's Feb. 19 contest at BYU, will be broadcast by BYU-TV, which also is featured on both DirecTV (374) and Dish (9397).
In addition to regular-season games, the Mountain West Conference Championships will also air live on national television starting with the second round and stretching through the championship game. Second-round and semifinal contests will air on The Mtn., while VERSUS (DirecTV channel 603; Dish Network channel 151) will carry the championship.
Frog games have been a fixture on television in recent seasons, making at least 10 appearances in each of the previous three seasons. A program-record 14 TCU women's basketball games were broadcast nationally in 2009-10.
