FORT WORTH--TCU hits the road for the first time this season when it takes on Oklahoma (No. 20 AP; No. 16 USA Today/ESPN) Saturday in Norman, Okla. Tip-off at OU's Lloyd Noble Center is scheduled for 2 p.m.
The Frogs will look to test themselves against a ranked opponent for the first time in 2009-10. Last season's squad went 2-2 against rated foes in non-conference play, including victories in their first two chances against a pair of No. 3 teams in Maryland and Cal. TCU later dropped its only two games against Big 12 opponents in road contests at Texas A&M (80-85) and Oklahoma State (50-64).
Due to the TCU-Wyoming football game being played at the same time as the Lady Frogs' contest with OU, the basketball game will not be broadcast live as usual on 88.7 KTCU-FM. The game will be streamed live on the Internet via GoFrogs.com with a tape-delayed broadcast airing on KTCU following the Frog football game. Russell Scott will fill in play-by-play duties for Jeff Williams, who is covering Saturday's TCU men's game at Nebraska. Jeff Lewis will serve his usual role as color commentator. Links to live stats, audio and OU's video webcast will be available on game day via GoFrogs.com.

SCOUTING THE OKLAHOMA SOONERS
Oklahoma, last season's Big 12 champion and a Final Four participant, will present TCU with a tough challenge Saturday. The squad, led by 13th-year head coach Sherri Coale, returns three starters and eight letterwinners after posting a 31-5 record a season ago.
OU lost a pair of outstanding players in four-time All-American Courtney Paris and All-Big 12 First-Team member Ashley Paris, but a talented core returns to help the Sooners in their conference-title defense. Leading the returnees is junior point guard Danielle Robinson, an honorable-mention All-American last season, and sophomore guard Whitney Hand, the 2009 Big 12 Freshman of the Year.
The Sooners enter Saturday's game with a 1-1 record. The squad opened the season with a 108-66 home win over Mercer before dropping a 62-51 decision at No. 21 Georgia.
LAST TIME WE MET: OU 77, TCU 63
NORMAN, Okla. (Nov. 30, 2005) - Courtney Paris had 22 points and 17 rebounds to lead No. 20 Oklahoma to a 77-63 win over TCU at the Lloyd Noble Center.
Paris, then a freshman, recorded her fifth double-double of the season and shot 7-for-7 from the field and 8-for-11 from the line. Adrianne Ross led TCU with 18 points. Ashley Davis added 15, while Vanessa Clementino had 10 points.
Ahead by eight at the break, Oklahoma opened the second half with a 16-0 run, fueled by 3-pointers from Erin Higgins and Britney Brown. Higgins shot 4-for-8 from beyond the arc and finished with 16 points.
The Frogs closed within 12 points with just under six minutes remaining. Paris answered with consecutive inside baskets, and the Sooners closed the game by shooting 10-for-10 from the line.
TCU lost its third game in nine days to a Top-25 opponent. The Frogs were outrebounded by OU, 50-28.
YOUNGSTERS STEPPING UP
TCU's freshmen forward tandem of Starr Crawford and DeLisa Gross has made its presence on the team known early this season.
-Crawford and Gross became the first pair of true freshmen to start a season opener in head coach Jeff Mittie's 11 seasons against Houston Baptist.
-Gross is only the second freshman in the Mittie era to open her career with consecutive double-figure scoring performances (also Sandora Irvin - three straight).
-Crawford pulled down 17 rebounds vs. Fresno State, which was the most for a Frog in three seasons and only one fewer than Sandora Irvin's TCU single-game freshman record (18 vs. Sam Houston St. in 2001).
