
Lady Frogs Paint the Town at Cowtown Brush Up

FORT WORTH--Members of the TCU women's basketball team participated recently in the 19th annual Cowtown Brush Up, which is sponsored by the City of Fort Worth's Department of Housing and Economic Development. The players spent a Saturday afternoon volunteering time painting houses in northwest Fort Worth.
The Lady Frogs, who were partnered up with a UT Arlington fraternity, served as Paint Team members for the program, which was organized for volunteers to paint the exteriors of homes owned by the City of Fort Worth for low-income families, the ederly and persons with disabilities.
The stated goals of the Cowtown Brush Up (CTBU) program are to:
- Help low-income families, particularly the elderly and persons with disabilities, maintain their homes
- Promote neighborhood stability by improving the visual image of central city neighborhoods
- Foster pride in homeownership and in our neighborhoods
- Stimulate a sense of community among all of the citizens of Fort Worth
- Impact the quality of life of our community as a whol
