Team Notes
*With the victory, TCU improved to 11-2 in its last 13 games versus teams from conferences with automatic BCS bids.
*The Horned Frogs have opened the campaign with a 3-0 record for the third time in the last six seasons. On the two previous occasions (2003 and 2006), TCU went on to win at least 10 games.
*TCU improved to 44-0 when allowing 17 or fewer points under head coach Gary Patterson. Overall, the Frogs have won 59 consecutive games when holding the opponent to 17 points or less.
*The Horned Frogs improved to 46-6 in their last 52 home games at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
*TCU improved to 32-3 since 2005 when playing on any day of the week other than Thursday. The Frogs are 29-3 on Saturdays over the last four seasons.
*TCU was +3 in turnover margin. Over the last four seasons, TCU is 27-1 when ahead (24-1) or even (3-0) in that category.
*The Frogs won for the 18th consecutive time when rushing for more yards than passing.
*TCU has won 18 of its last 19 games when throwing for 205 yards or less.

*In all three games this season, TCU has held its opponent to less than 200 yards of offense. Stanford had 193 yards, the most allowed by the Frogs in 2008. TCU's defense is surrendering an average of 174.0 yards per contest. The Frogs are also allowing just 8.0 points per game.
*The Frogs rushed for 233 yards to win for the 24th consecutive time when totaling at least 167 yards on the ground.
*TCU held Stanford to 71 yards rushing. The Frogs are 47-5 under Patterson when holding their opponent under 100 yards on the ground.
*TCU improved to 40-5 in its last 45 games when holding its opponent at or below 300 yards in total offense.
*A 15-play, 72-yard first-quarter touchdown drive marked TCU's longest scoring possession of the season in terms of snaps. The previous long was 13 plays on the final scoring drive last week versus Stephen F. Austin.
*TCU tight ends Shae Reagan and Evan Frosch totaled six receptions today. In the Frogs' opening two contests, the tight end position had five catches.
*TCU won the coin toss and deferred for the third straight game.
Individual Notes
*Matt Panfil had four tackles for loss among his five stops on the day, which represented a single-game career high for TFL. Panfil also set a career best with two quarterback sacks.
*Panfil also collected a forced fumble, fumble recovery and pass breakup.
*Justin Watts' first-quarter scoring run was his first touchdown of the season and third of his career. His two scores in 2007 represented TCU's first and last touchdowns of the campaign.
*Jeremy Kerley's 17-yard first-quarter punt return marked his fifth punt return of at least 17 yards in seven attempts this season.
*Kerley's 3-yard second-quarter rushing touchdown was his second straight week with a score on the ground. Both of the sophomore wide receiver's collegiate touchdowns are via the rush.
*Jerry Hughes recovered a fumble for the third straight week. He has three of TCU's four fumble recoveries this season.
*Steven Coleman had a fourth-quarter interception in the TCU end zone. He has a pick in all three games this season. His nine career interceptions lead all active Frogs and are more than double the amount of the next-closest TCU players (Rafael Priest and Nick Sanders with four).
*Anson Kelton had career-long 58-yard punt to pin the Cardinal at their own 3-yard line inside two minutes remaining in the first half. It marked his first career punt of 50 or more yards.
*Kelton also landed four of his seven punts inside the Cardinal 20-yard line.
*Ryan Christian had a touchdown run for the second straight week with his 1-yard carry in the third quarter to give TCU a 21-14 lead. He has four career rushing scores.
*Christian set a single-game high with 82 yards rushing. He added four receptions for 21 yards.
*Andy Dalton set a career high with 91 yards rushing. Dalton has led TCU in rushing in two of the Frogs' three games this season.
*Dalton also went 20-of-35 through the air for 145 yards.
*Jason Phillips led the Frogs in tackles for the first time this season with a season-high 10 stops. Phillips is the first Frog this season to register double-digit stops in a game.
