Cancer survivor set to officially join TCU football family
FORT WORTH – On Friday the TCU football program is set to welcome Heston Goggins, an 11-year-old from Decatur, Texas, who is officially joining the Horned Frogs through the Team IMPACT Program.
Goggins was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at age three and is now in remission. After being matched with TCU Football through Team IMPACT, a national nonprofit that connects children facing serious illness and disability with college athletic teams, he has spent the past several months becoming part of the Horned Frogs football family.
Goggins will officially join the TCU Football family on Friday during a special Team IMPACT Signing Day, where he will be welcomed by TCU Head Coach Sonny Dykes, members of the football team and coaching staff. The event will highlight the impact of Heston's relationship with TCU and the power of Team IMPACT's mission to create meaningful connections between children facing serious illness and college athletic teams.
