
No. 6 Horned Frogs Defeat No. 2 Bulldogs

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU equestrian team (4-3) upset Georgia (6-2) Saturday, 10-9, in Mansfield.
The Frogs were victorious in horsemanship after topping the Bulldogs, 4-1. TCU tied Georgia in equitation on the flat as sophomores Juli Skobel and Milana Trimino posted wins for the Frogs.
In equitation over fences, senior Carrie von Uhlit scored an 82 to earn her third victory in the event this season. Lauren Quiroz also had a victorious ride after defeating her opponent, 76-72.
TCU cruised past Georgia in horsemanship as Chloe Baker received MVP honors after scoring a 74. Ashley Aikman, Kelsey Huffman and Von Uhlit also earned points for the Frogs. Huffman led all scorers in horsemanship after beating Georgia's Katelyn Van Allen, 74.5-73.5, her fifth victory of the season.
Ashton Mickunas and Von Uhlit led the Frogs in reining each posting wins in the event. Von Uhlit scored a 74, while taking home her fourth MVP title in the event this season.
"I'm excited to be part of this team and am very proud of our performance," Von Uhlit said. "We have been working very hard and it paid off today."
Saturday's match concluded fall competition for TCU. The Frogs resume action in 2009 when they take on Delaware State in Mansfield on Jan. 30.
