
Woolf Awarded with the Ben Hogan/Colonial Scholarship

Travis Woolf (Fort Worth, Texas | Paschal H.S.) was selected as the recipient of the Ben Hogan/Colonia Scholarship, which was awarded to the TCU junior at the TCU Horned Frog Classic.
One of the most prestigious scholarships awarded to a member of the TCU men's golf team - Woolf was selected by head coach Bill Montigel on the basis of integrity, high morals, academic excellence and self motivation.
Woolf finished in the top-20 in each of the Frogs' four tournaments this past fall campaign and recorded three top-10 showings - including a fifth-place finish at The Prestige at PGA West en route to helping the Purple and White claim their first tournament of the season.
The Fort Worth talent finished sixth overall at the Columbia Invitational this past weekend where the Frogs, who entered the tournament ranked 19th in the nation, claimed their second team championship of the fall campaign. Woolf also finished seventh overall at the Kansas Invitational in the Frogs' first tournament of the season where TCU finished second overall.
During his tenure with the Frogs - Woolf has appeared in 24 career tournaments where he earned a top-20 finish in 11 of them to go along with six showings in the top-10. Woolf posted one of the lowest rounds in program history with a 64 at the UH Hilo Intercollegiate during his freshman campaign.
The TCU men's golf program concluded its fall campaign at the Columbia Invitational and will return to the links at the UH Hilo Invitational in Hilo, Hawaii, on Feb. 4-6.
