
Frogs Start Well at NCAA Regional

Rounds two and three will be played Tuesday
BRYAN, Texas – With the goal of being in the top five after three rounds, the TCU men's golf team finished the first round of the NCAA Bryan Regional in third place on Monday at Traditions Club.
The Horned Frogs shot 8-under 280 and trial only the host team, Texas A&M (-12) and No. 9 North Carolina (-10). No. 4 Texas (-7) is one back of the Frogs in fourth place and No. 16 Tennessee (-6) is in fifth place.
Freshman Nathan Miller, who made birdie on five of his first nine holes, shot 4-under 68 and tied for fourth place.
Joining Miller in the top 10 was Charlie Wylie and Lewis Wright who tied for 10th place at 2-under 70. Wright started his round 4-under in his first seven holes.
Sam Udovich shot even-par 72 and finished the first round tied for 24th place. Jack Beachamp shot 4-over 76.
TCU will begin the second round at 7 a.m. Tuesday on hole No. 1. Due to anticipated weather concerns, the third round will begin immediately following the conclusion of the second round.
The top five teams and top individual not on a qualifying team after Wednesday's final round will advance to the NCAA Men's Golf Championship, held May 29-June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
