Former Horned Frog standout joins soccer staff

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU head coach Dan Abdalla has announced the addition of Angie Nickens as the Director of Soccer Operations. Nickens closed out her playing career in the fall and is currently a graduate student at TCU.
"This is a great opportunity for me to start my career in collegiate athletics. The chance to continue learning from coach Abdalla, while experiencing the administrative aspects of the program is of great importance to me," said Nickens. "The fact that I get to remain here at TCU is what makes it even more special."
This fall, the Dallas native netted two goals, including the game-winner at New Mexico. She started all 19 games for the Horned Frogs in 2007 and collected second-team all-conference honors.
Nickens is currently coaching middle school soccer at All Saints Episopal School of Fort Worth.
