Cotet and Simon upset No. 2 team in Futures event

WAIKOLOA, Hawaii - TCU men's tennis players Cosmin Cotet and Adrian Simon teamed up to defeat the No. 2 seeded team of Lam (USA) and Palmanshofer (AUT) by a score of 7-6(4), 6-1 to advance to the doubles main draw quarterfinals of the USA F28 Futures event in Waikoloa, Hawaii.
Cotet and Simon, representing Romania, will meet the duo of Bryan and Vodicka of the United States in the quarterfinal round.
Both Horned Frogs will also compete in the singles main draw on Wednesday. Cotet will face Dave Lingman of the United States in the round of 32, while Simon will meet Benjamin Lankenau of the United States.
