
TCU completes opening day at UTSA Invitational

SAN ANTONIO - The TCU men's tennis team completed the opening day of the UTSA Invitational in San Antonio, Texas, on Friday.
In the first round of the doubles blue draw, Caleb Bulls and Alex Panayides fell to Monterrey Tech's De La Penna and De La Paz by a score of 8-5. The TCU duo would bounce back in the first round of the consolation draw, defeating Louisiana-Lafayette's Banas and Delgado, 9-8(0).
In singles action, Bulls fell to UTPA's Bernstein 5-7, 6-4, 7-5. Bulls received a first-round bye in the consolation draw and will face TAMU-CC's Langford on Saturday in the second round.
Panayides also fell in the first round of singles play to St. Edward's Collins, 7-5, 6-3. Panyides defeated Tyler Junior College's Rolle in the first round of the consolation draw 6-4, 6-3, and will face Monterrey Tech's Calaya in the second round on Saturday.
