Meet Aran Bean, a junior political science major from Chittering, Australia. Bean earned all-Conference USA Invitational mention in eight events over his first two years in Fort Worth. In addition, he was named the team's Most Outstanding Swimmer as a freshman in 2003-04.
What are the biggest reasons you decided to attend TCU?
I liked the coaches and I wanted to exile myself from the ocean
If you weren't on the swimming team, what other sport would you most like to play in college?
Rugby
What is the most memorable moment in your swimming career?
All the great times I have had with friends
What athlete in any sport has been your biggest idol?
No athletes, my idols are Aung Sun (political prisoner) and my grandfather
What words would people most likely use to describe you?
Australian, tallish, friendly
What superstitions or rituals do you have when getting ready for a meet?
If I told you that you would think I was weird
What is your dream job?
President of a small tropical island republic, surrounded by a great surf, great fishing and populated only by women super models

There is no use crying over spilled milk

The friends

I almost drowned when I was two years old

Teach the team rugby and Australian rules football
