
Cotet wraps up play in Hawaii

Waikoloa, Hawaii - TCU junior tennis player Cosmin Cotet fell in the doubles quarterfinals of the ITF USA F28 Futures Tournament on Wednesday. Cotet, representing his native country of Romania, teamed up with former TCU standout Alex Menichini.
Cotet and Menichini defeated Aaron De Leon and Jeff Miller of the United States 6-2, 6-4 to advance to the quarterfinals, before falling to No. 4 Christoph Palmanshofer of Austria and Markus Schiller of Germany 7-5, 6-3.
Cotet also took part in singles action, where he was defeated by Pierre-Ludovic Duclos of Canada 6-3, 6-0 Wednesday in the main draw's round of 32. The loss dropped Cotet's fall record to 8-5.
The TCU men's tennis team will return to action Jan. 19-21 at the Rice Invitational in Houston, Texas.
