Cotet falls in USA F26 Futures Tournament

Mansfield, Texas - TCU junior tennis player Cosmin Cotet fell in both the singles and doubles main draws of the USA F26 Futures Tournament. Cotet, a native of Silvestru, Romania, had reached the round of 16 in the singles main draw and the quarterfinals of the doubles main draw.
Ruben Gonzales (USA) defeated Cotet, who was representing Romania, 6-1, 6-0. Cotet, who was teamed up with former TCU tennis standout Alex Menichini, fell to Ruben Gonzales and Tim Smyczek (USA) 7-6 (4), 6-2.
Cotet will see action starting on Saturday at the Wilson/ITA Regional Championships hosted by TCU.
