
TCU women's tennis to compete at North Texas

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Five members of the TCU women's tennis team will compete in the Mean Green Invitational beginning Friday at the Goldfied Tennis Center in Denton, Texas. The three-day tournament is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. CST each day and includes four singles flights and two doubles flights consisting of 16 participants.Representing TCU at the event will be Alexandra Allin, Amy Beck, Melissa Beré, Gabby Lopez and Lindsay McBride. Allin and Beré will team up for doubles play, as will Lopez and McBride. The Mean Green Invitational marks the first fall event for all five Frogs.
Eight other schools besides TCU will compete at the event including Army, Baylor, SMU, Texas Tech, Texas State, Tyler Junior College, Texas-Arlington and North Texas.
While the Mean Green Invitational is scheduled for the entire weekend, play could conclude on Saturday if all the matches are completed. With heavy rain expected both Saturday and Sunday, the indoor courts at Los Colinas Country Club will be used if poor weather conditions exist.
