TCU Head Coach Gary PattersonOverall thoughts on the game:
"One more win (laughter). I really don't know what to say other than you've got to give the players a lot of credit. You look back on the loss and wish it hadn't happened, but I've said from the beginning that we are a lot stronger team than we were at the end of the year in 2003."
On which bowl game coach Patteron thinks TCU deserves to go:
"I think we're a good football team. Whoever we play, it'll be a good match. I know there are some teams that don't want to play us in a bowl game. I'll tell you that we'll play anyone ranked 11 and up. Right now, it's not about the SEC, Big 12, ACC or Big Ten. For us, it's the Big East and we're 3-1 against their top three teams."
Concerns on the down time between now and bowl game:
"What down time? We're going to get back into practice this week. We need to get people back and healthy. We're definitely going to work with the younger players. It'll be good for us. We'll practice every week except for finals week. We just need to get finals out of the way and get on with business."
On how the team played tonight:
"I didn't have to do anything. I just told the team to win the ball game like champions and I think we did."
On reviewing options for TCU's bowl bid:
"I told Danny Morrison that we need to sit down this week and look over our bowl situation because there are three things we should take into consideration. For one, we need to help the school into a BCS spot. Secondly, we should look at a bowl where the players have the most fun because they deserve it and lastly, choose a bowl that puts TCU in a favorable financial situation."
TCU Freshman Running Back Aaron Brown
On tonight's game:
"You always have to come ready to play. You can't underestimate anyone. The young guys stepped up tonight for the seniors."
On playing in a bowl game:
"We just had to take care of our game tonight. Everything else takes care of itself. Whatever bowl game we play in is fine, I'm just looking forward to playing in a few weeks."
TCU Junior Quarterback Jeff Ballard
On the team's success:
"We just play on both sides of the ball. We're moving the ball on offense and shutting them down on defense. The camaraderie among each other (is key). We want both sides of the ball to do well."
On the offense:
"We played as a team. We executed the plays the way we were supposed to. The offensive line did a great job protecting me and I give them all the credit."
On winning the conference with An undefeated record:
"It was wonderful. It was a dream come true. It felt great because it was a team effort. Everyone did a great job. We've been an underdog all season. The main thing has just been to stay focused through each game."
On playing in a bowl game:
"It's not for us to decide. We feel we're a team that can play with anyone."
TCU Sophomore Defensive End Tommy Blake
On winning an outright conference championship:
"It felt really good. The seniors deserve this. All those guys showed leadership from the way they walk to the way they talk. It starts with them. They set the tone and set the pace."
On LaDainian Tomlinson Day:
"LT is a great person and you know how he plays personally. We said we weren't going to lose on his day."
UNLV Head Coach Mike Sanford
On his team's performance:
"We made it worse than it was by not getting first downs or converting on third downs. We just didn't execute. We've got to play better. That wasn't a fun outcome."
On TCU's level of play:
"That's what we aspire to be. We've got a lot of work to do, but I expect to get there. I have a lot of respect for TCU; they're a great team. They're our conference champions and I wish them the best in whatever bowl they play."
UNLV Sophomore Linebacker Beau Bell
On his individual performance:
"All of my contributions were meant to help the team win. We didn't come out with a win, so I'm not pleased."
On TCU's first year in the MWC:
"This team was a good team. We see them come to this conference in their first year and do that [win the Mountain West Championship]. We wanted to do that and that's what we'll try to do next year."
UNLV Junior Quarterback Jarrod Jackson
On UNLV's performance:
"Our mindset going into every game is to win and play to the best of our ability. We didn't do that tonight. It's frustrating."
On the Horned Frogs:
"We see what they do and how they play. That's what we want to do."
