TCU women's tennis concludes play in Cal Invitational

BERKELEY, Calif. -- The TCU women's tennis team concluded play in the Cal Invitational on Sunday in Berkeley, Calif., by winning two consolation draws. Anna Sydorska won the Gold Singles Flight and teamed up with Lindsay McBride to claim the Blue Doubles Flight.
Sydorska advanced past Sara Anundsen from North Carolina by virtue of a walkover since Anundsen was injured. In the final, she recorded a 7-5, 6-4 victory over Roxanne Clarke of Arizona State.
Sydorska and McBride were crowned champions of the Blue Doubles because of a walkover versus Anastasia Surkova and Briana Williamson from BYU.
In the main draw of the Blue Singles, Gloriann Lopez suffered a 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 setback to No. 47 Cristina Visico from California in the semifinals. McBride lost 7-5, 6-3 to Arizona's Camelia Todorova in the semis of the Blue Singles consolation.
