FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Sean Stilley threw two second-half touchdown passes to LaTarence Dunbar as TCU beat longtime rival Southern Methodist 17-6 on Saturday night.
Stilley was 17-of-28 for 265 yards, and Dunbar had four catches for 111 yards as TCU (2-1) beat SMU (0-3) for the fourth straight time.
The Mustangs are still looking for their first win under coach Phil Bennett.
After a scoreless first half during which each team punted six times, TCU took a 3-0 lead at 4:54 of the third quarter on Nick Browne's 48-yard field goal.
A defensive play led to Stilley's first touchdown pass, which gave TCU a 10-0 lead. On third down, SMU's John Hampton was hit by Jared Smitherman and fumbled, and TCU's Bo Schobel recovered. Three plays later, Stilley hit a streaking Dunbar with a 28-yard touchdown pass.
TCU went up 17-0 in the fourth when Stilley found Dunbar wide open in the middle of the field for a 64-yard touchdown.
SMU avoided the shutout with 9:15 to play on Keylon Kincade's 1-yard touchdown run.
SMU's offense relied almost exclusively on Kincade, who ran for 127 yards and a touchdown on 36 carries. It was his third straight 100-yard game. Kincade carried on the first seven plays and accounted for 88 of the Mustangs' 100 first-half yards.
