Baylor ended the game with a total of 19 shots, 14 of which came in the second half of play. TCU played very aggressive in the first half and mustered four cornerkick opportunities, but failed to take advantage of them.
Despite the loss, TCU head coach David Rubinson was very positive after the match.
We're getting there. I thought we played with a lot more energy in the second half than we did against Houston. I felt a lot of our players had a much better game than they did on Friday, said coach Rubinson.
TCU junior goalkeeper Keith-Ann Wagner, who was seriously injured in a car accident this past summer, was in attendance for the Frogs home opener. Before the game, the team announced that they were dedicating the 2000 season to her and also that she would be one of the team captains this year.
The Frogs will play their next match against Texas Tech this Tuesday, August 29, at the Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium in Fort Worth. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
