Frogs to Host 2000 Tennis Regionals

FORT WORTH, Texas (May 4) - The TCU men's tennis squad will host one of 16 NCAA Tennis Regionals, May 13-14, at the Bayard H. Friedman tennis Center on the TCU campus.
The regionals will consist of four teams, the TCU Frogs, Hofstra , Michigan and Georgia State. The Frogs, ranked 11th in the nation, will face the Hofstra Rams in the first round of the regional. The times and dates are TBA. The second match will consist of the Michigan Wolverines against Georgia State.
The Frogs, the 2000 WAC champions, are 19-4 on the season and have won eight of their last nine matches.
In individual competition, TCU junior All-American Esteban Carril will represent the purple and white in Athens, Ga. for the 2000 NCAA Singles Championships.
TCU is one of four regional sites that will take place in the Lone Star State; Baylor, Texas A&M, and SMU will also host regionals.
