Women's Golf Moves Into Tie For 7th Place

Angela Stanford leads the team with a 36-hole total of 143 (71-72). She is now tied for sixth place, four shots out of the lead. Shannon Barr led TCU in the second-round with a two-under total of 70.
Arizona leads the 21-team field with a 36-hole total of 580. TCU with a two-day total of 598, trails Arizona by 18 shots. However, the Lady Frogs are only five shots out of third place. The 18-hole team score of 293 was the fourth best round of the day as the Lady Frogs climbed from 12th place to seventh.
The final round of the tournament will be held Saturday. The top eleven teams and three individuals will advance to the NCAA Championships from each of the two regionals being held at ASU and Ohio State University, while the region with the most teams ranked in the top 24 will also advance an additional two teams to the national tournament. The NCAA Championships will be held May 24-27 at Crosswater Golf Course in Sunriver, Oregon.
