Competed mostly as a part of the 4X400 team with Jostyn Andrews, Derrick Mokaleng, and Ryan Champlin... The 4X4 relay won the TCU Invite (3:09.20) and Horned Frog Invite (3:06.00)... finished third at Big 12 Championships (3:06.55)... The 4X400 relay reached the NCAA Outdoor National Championships where it recorded a 3:09.28 mark in the preliminary round... Individually, McClanahan ran the 400m at seven meets... Recorded a new personal best in a win at the Horned Frog Invitational (46.57)...
2017 INDOOR
Participated in seven meets during the indoor season... his best outing came at the Dunamis Sports Group College Classic where he picked up wins in the 4X400 and 400... At the New Mexico Team Invitational, McClanahan won the 600m (1:18.51) and finished second as a member of the 4X400m relay...
2016 OUTDOOR
Competed at seven meets ... started the season with a sixth-place finish at the Ricardo Romo Invitational with a time of 47.97 ... improved his quarter-mile time throughout the year, finishing with a season-best time of 47.28 at the Big 12 Championships ... took home silver in the 4x400 at the Texas Relays with a time of 3:06.22.
2016 INDOOR
Competed at four meets during the indoor season ... opened the year with a fifth-place finish in the 200 meters at the Reveille Invitational with a time of 21.93 ... recorded a time of 47.55 in the 400 meters at the Tyson Invitational ... took home fourth at the Charlie Thomas Invite with a 4x4 time of 3:09.43.
2015 OUTDOOR
Competed at seven meets for the Horned Frogs during his freshman campaign … placed first in the 4x400 relay at the Wes Kittley Invitational and the Horned Frog Invitational, with times of 3:08.21 and 3:07.41, respectively … competed at the Big 12 Championships and took home a second-place time of 3:06.89 in the 4x400 relay … earned a second-place 4x100 relay time of 40.81 at the Baylor Invitational … ran a season-best 400 meters at the Michael Johnson Classic, clocking in at 47.62.
2015 INDOOR
Competed at six meets for TCU during his freshman campaign … recorded a first-place time of 3:05.05 in the 4x400 relay at the Arkansas Open … logged personal-bests in the 200 meters (21.68) and 400 meters (47.72) at the New Mexico Team Invite … placed fifth in the 4x400 relay at the NCAA Indoor Championships and fourth at the Big 12 Championships.
