Jacob Pofsky is in his second season as a graduate assistant and video coordinator for TCU men’s basketball.
Pofsky, a native of Agoura Hills, Calif., graduated from Wesleyan University in Connecticut with a degree in psychology, education studies. He played at Wesleyan for four years and was elected team captain for his senior season. Simultaneously, while playing, Pofsky was a student assistant coach as he created scouting reports, led film sessions, installed offensive plays, led shootarounds, walk throughs, preseason practices and player development sessions.
In his first season at TCU, Pofsky ran the player development workouts for All Big 12 Conference and All-Region Team member David Punch as well as Micah Robinson and Brock Harding. Robinson doubled his production in every major category and led TCU in scoring in the NCAA Tournament. Harding was named MVP of the Rady Children’s Invitational and was third in the Big 12 in assists per game and assist to turnover ratio and was fifth in steals per game.
Prior to his time at TCU, Pofsky worked for Pure Sweat Basketball and Drew Hanlen, assisting in player development workouts for Pure Sweat NBA clients Tyrese Maxey, Tyrese Haliburton, Kelly Oubre, Trey Murphy, Chet Holmgren, Joel Embiid and Semi Ojeleye. Pofsky learned under IMPACT Basketball and Joe Abunassar.
