Played in the Alaskan League for the Anchorage Bucs along with fellow Frog Ryan Pack... started five games in seven appearances... had one complete game... finished with a 2-2 record to go along with a 3.12 ERA... struck out 15 batters in 40.1 innings of work.

Made 13 appearances... started three games... finished the season with a 2-0 record and a 4.94 ERA... combined on two shutouts, one as a starter and one as a reliever... struck out 20 batters in 23.2 innings of work... pitched 1.2 innings of scoreless relief against Texas Tech... got the start on Feb. 22 against Sam Houston State... lasted only 2.2 innings in the no-decision allowing two runs on three hits... made his second start of the season on March 6 against Manhattan... went 2.1 innings, surrendering three runs on three hits and striking out a career-high five batters... pitched three innings against No. 5 Rice on March 12... gave up two runs on four hits... pitched three consecutive scoreless outings from March 25 to April 10, spanning four innings... outings came against Saint Louis, UT-Arlington and USF... earned his first career victory against UTA on April 5 with two shutout innings... gave up three runs in only 0.2 innings of work at Oklahoma on April 12... rebounded to strike out the only batter he faced at Charlotte on April 23... started against UT-Pan American on April 27... pitched five scoreless innings to earn his second win... allowed only three hits and struck out four... lowered his ERA to a season-low 3.98 by recording two outs against UT-Arlington on May 3... allowed four runs in his last 3.1 innings pitched at Cincinnati and against Louisville.

Selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 26th round of the 2004 Major League Baseball First Year Draft... was an all- state performer his senior year... selected to play in the NTHSBCA All-Star Game... earned first-team all-district honors as a junior and senior... was an all-district honorable mention performer as a sophomore... owns The Colony High School??s record for single-season strikeouts with 121 in only 66 innings... fanned 82 batters in 61 innings as a junior... finished with a 1.57 ERA to go along with a 4-4 record.
