- Only students who have completed both a fall and a spring semester at TCU are permitted to be Dutchmen. The purpose of this is to ensure that any incoming student experiences at least a full year at TCU before making the dedication of serving their campus community as a Dutchmen.
- The TCU Dutchmen are completely unique to Horned Frog Nation. No other Big XII school has a team anything like the Dutchmen.
- For years, the TCU student section has been looked at among the most difficult Student Sections for an opposing team to play in front of. The section itself runs from end zone to end zone in Amon G. Carter Stadium which ensures any visiting team is constantly having to play with TCU students next to them. The TCU Student section is also the only student section in the Big XII that stands for the entire game, regardless of the score. No matter if TCU was up by 50 or down by 50, students know to stand, yell, and fight till’ Hell freezes over, then fight em’ on the ice.
- The best way to reach out to a Dutchmen, besides finding them in their striped overalls, is to contact a current Head Dutchmen (Patton Maynard, p.e.maynard@tcu.edu)
- The TCU Dutchmen are an incredibly selective team of individuals with a love for TCU culture and traditions and a desire to maintain those traditions, as well as create new ones. Dutchmen are required to be knowledgeable of TCU traditions as well as possessing the traits of a servant leader. Dutchmen are required to arrive 3 hours before all TCU Football games as well as 1 and 30 minutes before all TCU Basketball games. Dutchmen will set up the TCU student section before games as well as lead the TCU students in frog calls such as the Go-Frogs and Riff Ram.
