 | Aaron Brown Football, Running Back Sophomore Katy, Texas - Aaron Brown became the first TCU running back since Andre Davis in 1994 to reach 100 yards receiving in a game. The sophomore from Katy, Texas, had four catches for 107 yards, including an 84-yard touchdown reception, in the 17-7 win at Baylor.
- Brown's 84-yard touchdown reception from Marcus Jackson tied for the seventh-longest pass play in TCU history.
- Brown added 49 yards rushing on 15 carries to total 156 yards in offense.
- Brown appears on the watch list for the Doak Walker Award, given to the nation's top running back. He was the 2005 Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year and a Freshman All-American by The Sporting News.

Michelle Nguyen Soccer, Midfielder Freshman Richardson, Texas - Michelle Nguyen scored two goals and recorded two assists in helping TCU win the TU Women's Soccer/Grover Classic with victories over Tulsa and Oral Roberts.
- Nguyen, a freshman from Richardson, Texas, recorded a goal and an assist in both games, and finished the weekend with six points.
- For her performance, Nguyen was one of four Horned Frogs named to the all-tournament team.
- In the Horned Frogs' 2-0 win over Tulsa on Sept. 1, Nguyen scored TCU's first goal of the season and had an assist off a corner kick.
- In TCU's 6-2 win over Oral Roberts, Nguyen scored the first goal of the game for the second consecutive game. Nguyen also assisted Lizzy Karoly on the Horned Frogs' second goal of the game.
